The Director General of the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, Chikwe Ihekweazu has called for greater collaboration with the Nigerian media and the general public to contain the spread of corona virus in the country and to avert a possible second wave of the pandemic.
The director general gave this charge at a breakfast meeting with top media executives in Lagos.

Some of the media executives in their remarks commended the NCDC boss for the initiative which they sad was apt.
Worried about possible future epidemics like Yellow fever, spiral meningitis and Lassa fever among others especially with the coming of the dry season, Ikhekwazu urged Nigerians to maintain good hygiene and take advantage of available vaccines.
