President Muhammadu Buhari has approved Nigeria’s transition into the third phase of the national response to Covid-19 for a period of four weeks with effect from Friday, September 4, 2020, in line with amendments to address economic, socio-political, and health considerations reflected in the implementation of guidelines.

The Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha, disclosed this in Abuja, during Thursday’s national briefing on COVID-19, where he announced that the President has also extended the Task Force mandate till December 2020 so as to sustain a robust multisectoral national response.
