The Task Force On Covid-19 in Gombe State has described the protest by patients at the Coronavirus Isolation Centre as an action taken out of ignorance.
The authorities say efforts are being made to make the living conditions of the centre habitable for the patients.
The Task Force says it will also embark on psychological and mental treatment of the Coronavirus patients as the State prepares for its own Covid-19 testing centre.
This is the first media briefing by the Task Force after the State recorded cases of the Coronavirus infection. This is coming after some patients were seen protesting the poor treatment and conditions at the isolation centre in Kwadon.
The situation had made the Task Force to react stating that the protest was as a result of a confirmed case with ailment.
Given the psychological state of the patients the Task Force said it would begin some form of care
With more suspected cases sent for screening, the Task Force says the proposed testing facility would be ready soon as it calls for more cooperation.
