The Management of University of Calabar, has commenced the fumigation of strategic places in the institution ahead of February 5 resumption date.
Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Florence Obi, while speaking with journalists shortly after the fumigation exercise in Calabar, explained that the exercise was in preparation for commencement of academic activities.
Professor Obi added that some gates leading into the university would be closed to reduce movement of unauthorized persons into the school, stressing that adequate measures have been put in place to adhere to covid-19 safety protocol by the university management.
The fumigation exercise which commenced at the administrative buildings of the university will cover, Lecture halls, Worship Centers and Hostels as well as other strategic places within the University.
