Cross River State government has assured the affected traders in the fire incident at Marian market of supports and compensations for their loss in no distant time.
The Director General of the State Emergency Management Agency, Ayim Princewill, gave the assurance when he visited the affected traders in Calabar on Thursday.
He said Governor Ben Ayade has directed that the agency takes stock of the loss of the affected traders in a bid to plan for their compensation irrespective of their state of origin.
Some of the affected traders who commended the government’s effort expressed how much they lost to the inferno.

Marian market was gutted by fire Wednesday night, following a suspected spark in one of the shops that led to the fire. It was the second Incident at the same market in less two months.
