There seems to be some disagreement within the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP’s Appeal Panel for the Senatorial bye-election and the State Working Committee of the PDP in Cross River State.
While speaking with reporters in Calabar Thursday, the panel Chairman, Denis Omovie, said the Committe has received a petition from the state legal adviser of the party asking the panel to look into the clearance given to an aspirant, Jarigbe Agom.
But the PDP Chairman in the state, Inok Edim, said he’s not aware of any petition, noting that all the five aspirants cleared by the screening committee applauded the process without dissenting voices.
Meanwhile, the secretary of the Appeal Panel, Thimoty Golu, who was reported to have been abducted said it was a false as he was part of the process.
