The new Commissioner of Police in Cross River State, Sikiru Akande, has warned criminals to leave the state or be prepared to face the wrath of the law.
Akande read the riot act to the criminals while speaking with Government House correspondents in Calabar, shortly after he held a closed-door meeting with Governor Ben Ayade in his lodge.
He said his mission in the state is to redefine the security architecture of Cross River with integrity that will allow the social-economic development of the state to thrive.
The new CP assured that he will make use of both hard and software equipment to fight crimes and criminality in the state.
While appealing to the people of Cross River to give credible useful information that will enable them to sleep with their two eyes closed, Akande said there is a new sheriff in town, hence all the criminals should have a change of mind or relocate.
