Cross River State records first double-digit new Covid-19 infections

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 576 new Covid-19 infections in 22 states. One of the states is Cross River that has recorded 16 new cases. The total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria is now 37,801.

The 576 new Covid-19 infections are reported in
Lagos-88; Kwara-87; FCT-82; Plateau-62; Ondo-39; Enugu-28; Oyo-26; Taraba-24; Kaduna and Ebonyi-20 each. Edo has recorded 17 cases; Kano-14; Rivers-11; Ogun-10; Delta-9; Nasarawa and Osun-8 each; Katsina-3; Imo-2; Kebbi and Borno-1 each.

There are 344 Covid-19 patients discharged across Nigeria in the last 24 hours bringing the total number of successfully treated cases to 15,677.

Meanwhile, 5 new Covid-19 fatalities have been reported in Nigeria as the death toll in the country rises to 805.
