Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu says the government is watching the growing number of Coronavirus cases closely and would have no option but to impose a curfew on the State if there is a spike in the number of infections.
The Governor made this known during a live broadcast where he announced the establishment of 50 neighbourhood markets across the State.

He said the State in a stimulus package will be sending items from the food bank to about 200,000 households that have their income affected by the Coronavirus pandemic.
The Governor also confirmed that 5 cases of the virus who have recovered will be released from the Isolation Centre as soon as their last tests are returned to be negative.

He says he will sign into law the Infection Disease Emergency Management Bill passed by the State House of Assembly.
The Health Commissioner, Professor Akin Abayomi during the broadcast also confirmed that the use of Chloroquine is proving effective in the ongoing clinical trial. He however maintained that the drug must be strictly administered by the Ministry going by its toxic nature.
