Delta State Govt orders probe of alleged Coronavirus lockdown killing

Delta state government calls for investigation over alleged killing of 28-year old Joseph Pedu in Warri during enforcement of the coronavirus lockdown in the state by security operatives on patrol.

The state commissioner for information, Charles Aniagwu in a statement on behalf of the state government said the governor Ifeanyi Okowa administration amid worries has sent a delegation to condole with the family of the deceased over the loss of their son.

The statement further called on the people to remain calm and to avoid taking laws into their hands as the government has set up machinery to unravel the cause of the killing.
