Parties involved in the demolition of the structures belonging to the Saraki family in Ilorin, The Kwara State capital, have agreed to meet in order to settle out of court.
The Presiding Judge, Justice Abiodun Adebara, had last week called on the parties to give peace a chance and discuss how to end the misunderstanding.
Briefing the judge at Friday’s sitting, counsels to both parties said they have agreed and fixed a meeting for January 27 on how to find an amicable settlement.

Counsel to the claimant had earlier in the week written to the State Attorney-General requesting for date and venue for the meeting.
The office of the Attorney-General, according to the counsel to the claimant, had written and scheduled the meeting.
He expressed optimism that the issue would be resolved peacefully.
In his ruling, Justice Adebara commended both parties and wished them well in an effort to settle devoid of acrimony.
He then adjourned till March 2, 2020, for the report on settlement.
