The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission has called on the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC to urgently settle the allowances, tuition and other incentives of the NDDC Overseas Scholarship holders in the United Kingdom.
In a a statement, NIDCOM made reference to a letter written by its Chairman, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, to the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, dated June 18, 2020 drawing attention to the plight of the students, and urging the NDDC who are directly responsible for the students’ scholarships to settle the entitlements of the students.

THE NIDCOM boss, in the letter, added,that the Commision is not unaware of persistent calls by the students for urgent intervention to enable them pay their tuition fees, with the payment deadline has elapsed for some of them, “turning many of them to virtually become beggars or even drop school outs”.
