A member of the steering committee of the Coalition of United Political Parties, CUPP who is also the National Chairman of Labour Party, Abdulsalam Abdulkadir has dissociated himself from the plan by some political parties to sue the federal government.
Abdulkadir was reacting to the announcement by CUPP spokesperson, Ikenga Ugochinyere that the coalition would take the Federal
Government to court for retaining the Service Chiefs after the expiration of their tenure.
The Labour Party chairman says the planned suit against the Federal Government over incessant killings and the continued stay of the Service Chiefs, will only heat up the polity and cause distraction to those in authority.

Abdulkadir accused Ugochinyere of taking the decision unilaterally without due consultation with members of the Coalition Steering Committee.
The Labour Party also challenged the CUPP spokesperson, to tell Nigerians why senior members of the CUPP steering committee were not carried along.
