The Acting National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the South East Zone, Ali Odefa, has appealed to both members and supporters in Ebonyi State, not to panic, but remain calm, as the opposition party, will do everything possible to protect them.
Odefa gave the assurance at a media briefing in Enugu, on the state of affairs in the PDP, southeast zone, following the recent decamping of the Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi, from PDP to All Progressives Congress, APC.
The PDP southeast Zonal Working Committee frowned at the allegations made by the Ebonyi State Governor against the leaders of the PDP in the state, of sponsoring the proscribed IPOB and Cult activities.
Odefa claimed that the only reason for the allegation was because the former political allies of the Governor, have refused to defect to the APC with him.
He then challenged Governor Umahi, to come in the open with proof of alleged sponsorship.
