Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi has commiserated with the Nigerian Police Force, NPF and the families of the four policemen who were killed by suspected armed robbers while escorting a bullion van from Enugu to Ebonyi State, on Wednesday.
In a statement signed by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Francis Nwaze, Governor Umahi describes the killing as a big blow to the state, and prays God to grant the bereaved the fortitude to bear the loss.

Governor Dave Umahi tells the people of Ebonyi State not to panic, assuring them that everything has been put under control.
‘Let me also assure the public that the Ebonyi State Police Headquarters is already giving all efforts, harnessing all available intelligence to bringing the culprits to book as they have tightened the boundaries against the entrance of hoodlums.’
