The Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC’s planned nationwide strike has received the backing of residents of Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital.
Speaking to ait.live on Sunday, a Methodist cleric, Uche Chiemeka, and others think the Federal Government acted in error by going ahead to increase the prices of what they described as ‘essential commodities’, amid the biting effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The residents are saying that they are in full support of the strike by Labour with the hope that through the action, the government would listen to the cry of Nigerians.
