Ebonyi State Government has embarked on special Covid-19 training for final year class teachers in the state, ahead of planned resumption.
This was as the State Governor, Dave Umahi expressed determination to ensure that no life is further lost to Covid19 infection in the state.
Umahi stated this while declaring open the training workshop organised for Exit Class Teachers, Supervisors, Invigilators and other key education stakeholders.
The training which was held at the State Ecumenical Centre, Abakaliki, was to ensure safe resumption of schools, as well as the management and conduct of 2020 SS3 and JSS3 final Examinations in the State.
The Governor said the event
was also a way of expressing his gratitude to God for delivering him from Covid19 infection.
The Governor said the training will boost the morale of teachers and health workers whose shoulders rest the task of protecting the exit class students in Ebonyi State.

Also speaking, the Commissioner for Education, Onyebuchi Chima, said some normal school activities will have to change in ensuring the safety of the students in a Covid19 era.
The 228 secondary schools in Ebonyi State resumed preparatory classes for students in the JSS3 and SS3 classes last Tuesday, in line with the Federal Government directives.
