The Edo State Deputy Governor and Chairman Local Organizing Committee for the 20th National Sports Festival, Philip Shuaibu, has expressed optimism that the Federal Government will fulfill the financial support promised the State Government for the success of the festival.
Speaking at a media briefing in the Government House Benin City, Shaibu noted that the State believes fervently that the much-needed assistance will come before the commencement of the games scheduled for April 2, 2021.

Other members of the LOC also revealed that preparations are in top gear to ensure that the festival postponed severally before now is successful.
The games will be held in strict compliance with the COVID-19 safety protocols, as
Participants including Officials, are to present certificates and documentation of COVID-19 tests and vaccination, before they will be admitted into the Games Villages.
