The Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 has approved January 3 to 17, 2021 as new date for the 20th National Sports Festival, tagged “Edo 2020”.
The decision was arrived at during a virtual meeting between the PTF, the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, and the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, on Thurday. The meeting reviewed circumstances around the recent rescheduling of the sports fiesta.

The new date is to allow the PTF, NCDC, Edo State Government, and the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development to complete the necessary steps and processes, in ensuring a hitch free festival and deployment of rapid diagnostic test kits for over 11,000 athletes.
