Edo election NYSC DG seeks security of CORPS members

The Edo state police commissioner, CP Johnson Kokumo has assured of adequate protection for corps members participating in the September 19 governorship election in Edo state.


The commissioner while playing host to the director general of the NYSC and his team says the importance of corps members during elections cannot be over emphasized.


He assured of the safety of corps members during and after the election.

About one thousand two hundred and twenty corps members are expected to participate in the September nineteen governorship election in Edo state as INEC Adhoc officers.

The director-general of the national youth service corps Shuaibu Ibrahim is therefore seeking the cooperation of the Edo state police command led by CP Johnson Kokumo in ensuring adequate security for them.

The Edo state commissioner of police Johnson Kokumo noting the importance of the NYSC scheme says his men will.do the needful and ensure that adequate security is provided.

The visit ended with the presentation of giftt to the NYSC DG for the cordial relationship existing between the bodies.
