The Christian Council of Nigeria has expressed concern over the Political situation in Edo State which it says may create bloodshed if not checked by security agencies.
Chairman of the religious organization in the South South, Archbishop Tunde Adeleye stated this In Calàbar, Wednesday while speaking with Journalists on the state of the Nation.
Adeleye said the two major dominating Political parties in Edo State are creating tension for the Citizens in the name of Electioneering campaign, insisting that seeking Political office should not be a do or die affair.
The religious leader called on Nigeria to pray for both Edo and Ondo States to have a peaceful and successful election with a call on the election management body to create an atmosphere for a free contest.
