Edo State Government has directed civil servants in the state from grade level 12 and below to stay at home till further notice as part of precautions to curb the spread of the Coronavirus disease.
Governor Godwin Obaseki gave this order while addressing reporters in the Government House, Benin City, the state capital, on Monday.

Governor Obaseki said that measures are being taken to ensure that the state curtails the spread of Coronavirus including social distancing which will go a long way to protect citizens.
The Governor called for caution and urged all to be their brothers’ keeper in the fight against the pandemic.
The Chief Medical Director of Irrua Specialist Hospital, Sylvanus Okogbenin, at the briefing, gave a rundown of the state’s index case which was recorded on Monday.
