The Edo State Government has provided an alternative source of learning for primary school pupils during the period of partial Coronavirus lockdown in the State.
Governor Godwin Obaseki, who announced the commencement of the programme tagged “EdoBest at Home E-learning”, said it is packaged to address the educational needs of every Edo child as they resume for third term.
The state has been on partial lockdown as part of measures of contain the spread of COVID-19. This measure has affected the academic calendar of schools as they are now on an enforced holiday.
Governor Obaseki said that an alternative means of learning has been sourced for the children of primary school age to continue their education as they resume for the third term.

There will be provisions for children in rural areas and those who cannot access internet facilities.
Meanwhile, the State Ministry of Education and Post Primary Education Board have been offering TV lessons for secondary school students during the Coronavirus lockdown.
