The Edo State Government has said that it will not cede any of its land for grazing cattle.
A statement released by the Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie described the government’s position on the matter as clear and not shifted since its previous insistence that it would not cede its land to herdsmen.
According to him, the attention of the State Government is aware of what he called misleading and false media reports claiming that Governor Godwin Obaseki, has agreed to provide grazing land for herders.
He said the Edo State Government sees grazing is economic activity like poultry and piggery or any other agricultural enterprise.

The state government scribe alleged that some political actors are trying to instigate the type of killings witnessed in other states following the heavy loss they suffered in the Edo state political space.
He called on all peace-loving people of Edo State to dedicate this Lenten period to pray for the much needed peace to begin to return to Nigeria.
