Residents of Iduomwina community in Uhunmwode Local Government Area of Edo State, South-South Nigeria are commending the State Government for the ongoing construction work on their road which has been a major source of concern for them over the years.
This commendation was given when Governor Godwin Obaseki paid an unscheduled visit to the flood prone area.
It were shouts of joy and appreciation as Governor Obaseki made a brief stop at Iduomwina community to see how the recently awarded construction of the 7.5-kilometre road is coming along.
For the people who have had to put up with the devastating effect of flood for many years, this intervention by the State Government is most welcome as they commend Governor Obaseki for coming to their rescue.

The entourage moves to meet with the community head, elders and youths in the locality and they are given a warm welcome.
Spokesperson for the community, Clifford Igbineweka expresses the gratitude of the indigenes as Obaseki assures of his administration’s commitment to promoting development through road infrastructure.
The access road links the Uruora end of the Benin-Auchi Expressway to Ihovbor where the Azura Independent Power Plant is located.
