Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has urged Muslims to emulate the virtues and the teachings of tolerance and peace of Prophet Muhammed.
This message was communicated in a statement signed by the Special Adviser, Media, and Communication Strategy, Crusoe Osagie.
Governor Obaseki noted that the celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammed is a time for thorough soul-searching so as to fall back on the prophet’s teachings of good neighbourliness, which he said was needed now more than ever before, amid the Coronavirus pandemic.
The Governor urged Muslim faithful to show love and tolerance as espoused in Islam.

He encouraged Muslims to work for unity and progress of the society, just as Prophet Muhammed would, urging them to be good neighbours and enviable ambassadors of change.
