Four persons have been arrested by the Police in Ekiti State for parading themselves as Merchant Navy Officers in Igede Ekiti.
Parading the impostors and eight others for other crimes before journalists at the Command headquarters in Ado Ekiti, the command’s spokesman, Sunday Abutu explained that the suspects conspired and acted with the motive of extorting money from members of the public
The police also said one Sanusi Ismaika, a resident of Iworoko-Ekiti was found in possession of household properties reasonably suspected to be stolen and upon information, a team of Rapid Respond Squad, RRS went to the scene and got the suspect arrested.

One of the suspects who spoke with air.live pleaded innocent to the allegation aside from the four impersonation suspects, the other eight were held in connection with a variety of crimes including murder, armed robbery, and unlawful possession of arms and ammunition.
