No fewer than 50, 000 Federal and Cross River State Government Assisted FADAMA Poultry farms were destroyed during the #EndSARS Protests Hoodlums attacks in Calabar.
Assessing the level of damage done at the FADAMA and the Agro-Processing, Productivity Enhancement, and Livelihood Improvement Support, APPEALS, offices in Calabar, the Supervising Commissioner, Dr. Inyang Asibong, described the attacks as a set back to the State’s Agropreneural projects.
Asibong said the level of vandalization and carnage that occurred at the centre will draw the project backward, but she, however, assured that the World Bank assisted project will not be scrapped in Cross River.
On their part, the State Coordinator of FADAMA Project, Eunice Bisong, and a beneficiary of the project, Patricia Basset, called for quick intervention from the government.
