The European Union, (EU), has organised a workshop, to foster national climate resilience, tree planting and tackle deforestation in three northern states of Nigeria, Adamawa, Taraba and Kaduna states.
Adamawa, being a frontline state in desertification and deforestation, played host to the training in Yola the state capital,The workshop, implemented with support from Oxfam, had fifty participants, drawn from Adamawa, Kaduna and Taraba States.

Officials from the Ministries of Environment and Agriculture, from the states, produced an action plan for the reduction of deforestation, and improved forestry nationwide.
Resilience and Private Sector Engagement Programme Manager, OXFAM , Olumide Ojo said the training is aimed at creating synergy among the three tiers of the government and prone communities.
