Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama confirms that 102 Nigerians stranded in Egypt as a result of Covid-19 have returned home.
The Minister in a tweet also says 260 evacuees from India are expected to arrive the country on Saturday morning.
All returnees are to surrender their passports and present themselves for Covid-19 test within 72 hours of arrival. They are to self-isolate for 14 days before reclaiming their passports that will be with immigration.
The resumption of the evacuation of Nigerians abroad followed approval of the new protocols for their return which eliminates the requirement for mandatory hotel accommodation for the 14-day mandatory isolation.
