The Federal Government has restated its resolve to provide basic amenities such as potable water, in insurgency ravaged communities.
It is in this regard that a delegation from the Federal Ministry of Water Resources is visiting Mubi and Maiha Local Government Areas of Adamawa State to assess the sites earmarked for construction of three dams.
The communities of Muchalla in Mubi North, Kwaja in Mubi South, and Manjeki in Maiha Local Government Area are the benefiting communities.

The source of water is the nearby river with the Federal Government commencing preliminary studies for the construction of the dams.
The 5-man team of engineers from the Federal Ministry of Water Resources and members of the National Assembly from the area have began inspection of the sites where the dams would be constructed.
The National Assembly members participating in the inspection exercise assured the people that they will closely monitor the projects and ensure speedy completion.
The people said that lack of potable water has become one of the major causes of health challenges in the area.
