The Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Folasade Yemi-Esan, has called on Ministries, Extra-Ministerial Departments, and Agencies as well as all stakeholders to work collectively towards driving competitive and innovative culture in the public Service with a view to scaling up quality delivery
Yemi-Esan who made the call in Abuja at the third edition of the 2022 Innovation Challenge recognition Ceremony, tasked civil servants on performing above standard, to escape the toga of redundancy.
She reiterated that her office has set up structures to effectively support and sustain innovation in the system by incorporating ‘Innovation’ as a pillar in the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan, 2021-2025.

In his remarks, the Chairman of, the Senate Committee on Establishment and Public Service Matters, Ibrahim Shekarau, commended the Head of Service for keeping track with the trend of global changes and duplicating same in the Civil Service.
The former Kano State governor assured that the Senate Committee will ensure that adequate enabling legislative laws are put in place to enhance efficient and effective Public Service the country will be proud of.
The event witnessed cash award to some innovative civil servants.
