A total of 400 trucks of assorted fertilizers have arrived Jigawa State for distribution to farmers in the State for this year’s farming season.
Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Sadiya Umar Farouk who flagged off the distribution to farmers said the gesture is to assist farmers who lost their farm produce to flood last year as well as to motivate them to produce more.
The Minister said the Federal Government will soon release 150 trucks of food items to Jigawa State as palliatives for the impact of Covid-19 on the people.
Jigawa State Governor Muhammad Bandaru while receiving the fertilizers expressed his gratitude to the Minister for her quick response.
