The Federal Executive Council, FEC has approved the sum of N5 billion for the completion of the Zungeru-Wushishi Water Supply project in Niger State.

Adamu said the project was started in 1998 by the Niger State Government but was later transferred to the Federal Government before it was abandoned in 2012.
The Water Resources Minister said the cost had to be revised because its design in 1998 had one million gallons of water per day water treatment facility which is no longer feasible for Zungeru and Wushishi, as a result of population explosion.
