Bauchi State government has confirmed the arrest of five suspected Boko Haram terrorists, who planned to destroyed Mobile telecommunication services, in the four local government areas of Gamawa, Dambam, Darazo and Zaki.
The Secretary to the State Government, Sabiu Baba, disclosed this while briefing the press.
Yobe is among the states which shares borders with Bauchi and recently, Gaidam town came under attacks by insurgents, suspected to be members of the Boko Haram.
As a result, three local government areas of Dambam, Darazo, Gamawa and Zaki in Bauchi State, which share borders with Yobe are witnessing an influx of people from the affected neighbouring state.
Briefing the press after an emergency security meeting held at the Government House, the Secretary To the State Government, Sabiu Baba, said following intelligence report, the state has succeeded in arresting the suspected Boko Haram members, terrorising the relative peace of the state.
The SSG said, some strategies have already been put in place, among which is the profiling of people coming into the state, for easy identification, and arrest of the bad elements among them.

Shedding more light on the issue, Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, Sylvester Alabi, assured the maximum support of all security agents, towards protecting the lives and properties of the citizenry.
