The Federal Government has released N285 billion to some ministries, departments, and agencies since the signing of the 2020 Budget by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, who made this known on Friday, said the fund was for critical infrastructure and education.

The Minister, who led the Committee to Review the Impact of Coronavirus on Crude Oil Prices to a meeting with President Buhari, noted that an additional $220 million have also been released for counterpart funding of projects.
The figures provided by the Minister, however, contradict the submission made by the Accountant-General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, when he appeared before a Senate committee this week.
Idris had told the senators that no money has been released by the Federal Government to fund capital projects since the 2020 Budget was signed into law by the President.
The Minister explained that her 5-member committee was at the Presidential Villa to brief the President on steps taken so far to actualise its mandate.
On the restriction or outright banning of flights coming into the country amid the Coronavirus pandemic, the Minister noted that the decision is the prerogative of the Nigerian medical team.
