The season of dry weather seems to be taking its toll on Port Harcourt residents as another building located along Timothy Lane, Rumuola in Port Harcourt was totally destroyed by fire.
The devastating fire incident has rendered several persons homeless, including children.
The children managed to have a meal on Friday afternoon following Thursday’s fire incident.
The meals were provided by a public-spirited individual as their parents could no longer provide food following the fire incident that engulfed their residence at Billy Avenue, Timothy Lane, Rumuola in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Some of the victims narrated their ordeals in the hands of hoodlums.

They said the fire which affected a nearby building could have been averted if men of Rivers State Fire Service had responded to their calls.
While the victims of the fire incident continue to count their losses, the condition of the children needs urgent attention from members of the public and government.
