The Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS, Muhammad Nami says in order to realise its 2020 revenue target of N8.3 trillion, the commission will adopt smart strategies to cushion the financial pressure due to falling oil prices.
Nami who made this known at the FIRS Headquarters in Abuja while receiving delegates from his home state added that all tax revenue sources will be closely monitored and transmitted to the relevant government accounts.

Nami also added that renewed focus will be on the informal sector of the economy in its revenue drive.
The FIRS boss urged tax administrators in Africa to be embedded in the industrial revolution by deploying technologies to assist in tax generation
