The progressives’ governors’ forum, an umbrella body of the All Progressives Congress, APC has called for a review of the Freedom Of Information act for effectiveness in monitoring governance.
The governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu made the call in Abuja after a meeting of commissioners of information and special advisers on media.
The governor who was represented by his deputy, Olufemi Hamzat said the emphasis should be on the process of achieving information from the government which he said was not favorable to the applicant for now.
