Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar says the provision of critical infrastructure is key to addressing the security challenges bedevilling the country.
Atiku said this while commissioning a road project in Bauchi State, northeast Nigeria.
The 4.4 kilometre Gombe – Maiduguri Bypass R+ is part of Governor Bala Mohammed led administration’s urban and rural renewal initiative, aimed at providing basic social amenities, and improving the quality of the life of the people across the state.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar commended the Bauchi State governor for his zeal and determination, towards addressing the high rate of unemployment and improving the economy of the state, through the provision of critical infrastructure.
Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed said the project is in fulfilment of his campaign promises.
He added that the move is to decongest the city of heavy traffic and attract more investors to the state.
The former vice president who had paid homage to the Emir of Bauchi, Rilwanu Sulaiman, was also honoured for his 75th birthday anniversary.
