The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps in Zamfara State, has warned Premium Motor Spirit dealers, not to hoard or increase the price of petroleum products that would make life difficult for people in the state.
The state’s Commandant, Muhammad Bello, gave the warning at the State Command Headquarters in Gusau when he read the riot act to all filling stations and petroleum dealers in Zamfara State.
A statement by the Corps Public Relations Officer, Ikor Oche, said NSCDC has observed the unwarranted artificial scarcity of petroleum products, created by petroleum marketers, following the information by the newly sworn-in President Bola Tinubu, of removing subsidies on petroleum products.

It warns that this is an act of sabotage, and an attempt to scuttle the smooth take-off of this present administration, which the corps will not tolerate.
The statement said that the NSCDC is saddled with the responsibility of ensuring free supply of petroleum products to the right destinations without diversion or hoarding, as a result, the Corps will not spare any filling station found hoarding or causing artificial scarcity of the products.
