Kano State House of Assembly has screened a commissioner nominee, Idris Garba, forwarded to it by the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje.
The nominee replaces a former commissioner, Muazu Magaji, who was sacked for celebrating the death of Abba Kyari on social media.
Five other members, who were previously suspended, but reinstated by a Federal High Court, also attended the plenary.
The nominee, Garba, appeared before the House where he gave a brief history about himself and his political background.
He informed the members that he has 30 children from two wives which generated laughter in the House.
The five members previously suspended over their alleged rowdiness during the removal of the former Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, attended the plenary saying the court has vindicated them.
