Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, says his administration will consolidate existing development gains and pursue greater economic growth as the state marks 30 years of creation.
The Governor made the commitment in a message marking Gombe State’s 30th anniversary and Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary.
In a statement signed by his Director of Press, Ismaila Uba Misilli, Governor Inuwa said three decades of statehood provide an opportunity to reflect on Gombe’s development journey and set priorities for the years ahead.
He said the Development Agenda for Gombe State, DEVAGOM, remains the framework for the state’s long term development across critical sectors.
The Governor highlighted interventions in education, healthcare, roads, agriculture, industrialisation, environmental restoration and public sector reforms.

He said the next phase will focus on consolidating existing gains, strengthening peace and unity, and promoting inclusive and sustainable development.
The Governor, who is also Chairman of the Northern Nigeria Governors’ Forum, congratulated Nigerians on the 66th Independence Anniversary and called for continued commitment to unity, peace, justice and democratic development.
