The Gombe State Government says it would invest in indigenous technology that would be used in the treatment of Coronavirus in its isolation centres and hospitals in the State.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya made this known while acquiring some units of ventilators made by some individuals of Gombe State origin with a call on Nigerians to patronise products made in the country.
The locally-made ventilator is a simple mechanism in a small plastic box, operating a process that could be used in the treatment of people with Coronavirus infection.
The ventilator was manufactured by 3 persons led by a lecturer Dr. Yunusa Mohammed Garba and Aliyu Hassan who is a graduate of Mechatronics Engineering along with Usman Dalhatu who is a 200 level student of Mechanical Engineering in the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.
Impressed by this feat, Governor Yahaya had ordered for the production of more units of the device to be installed at the State Coronavirus Isolation Centres.
