The Gombe State Independent Electoral Commission has outlined procedures for the local government elections a week before the polls.
According to the Chairman of the Commission, Saidu Awak, the local government elections would commence by 8 am and end at 3 pm on the 19th of December.
The electoral body has given room for people living with disabilities to participate in the elections.
Though there are unconfirmed reports of political parties boycotting the elections, the major parties said they are comfortable with the preparation for the exercise and are satisfied with the process so far.

With days to the local government elections, observers are keen to see the conduct of the electoral body, the electorate, and the political parties in ensuring that the polls are successful.
