Sea piracy, cultism, and kidnapping are major security challenges plaguing Bayelsa State which Governor Douye Diri wants the New Police Commissioner, Ben Okolo to tackle.
Governor Diri was speaking when he officially received the new State Police Boss on Thursday in Government House, Yenagoa.
The Governor says he expects the new security chief to support the government’s policy of a crime-free state.

Okolo assured that professionalism will be the watchword for men of the command in order to drive the government’s vision.
Ben Okolo took over from Echeng Echeng who has since been moved to Anambra State.
