Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has expressed gratitude to fellow contestant Gideon Ikhine who recently stepped down for him towards achieving his second term ambition in next September Governorship Election, under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party PDP.
Speaking in his campaign office in Benin City, while hosting the Governor, Gideon Ikhine said he stepped down to enhance Obaseki’s position ahead of the PDP Governorship primary holding on Thursday, June 25, 2020.

Gideon Ikhine says his decision was also to allow the Governor consolidate on his developmental strides in the State.
Obaseki who acknowledged the sacrifices the aspirant had made for the PDP, assured that his administration will continue to prioritise the well-being of the people.
