The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has threatened to jail anyone who attempts to operate the planned nationwide Miyetti Allah Vigilante Group within the state.
Governor Ortom made the pledge while addressing reporters in Makurdi, the state capital.
He vowed to make good his promise not to allow the planned miyetti Allah vigilante group within the confines of State as long as he remains Governor.
While maintaining his complete regard for the rule of law the chief security officer was emphatic that anyone who goes contrary to the laws of the State will be sanctioned.

Late month, the Fulani socio-cultural organisation unveiled plans to establish its security outfit nationwide, a move the Benue State government insisted will not see the light of day.
