Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri says activities of Governance will be on track fully as appointments into his cabinet will commence soon.
The Governor who spoke to journalists on his arrival in Yenagoa after his victory at the supreme court, however expressed regret over the negative impact of the coronavirus on governance and socio-economic activities of the State.
The people had defied the rain and cold weather condition to welcome Governor Douye Diri after the Apex Court in Abuja reaffirmed his Governorship status.
The train later converged on the King of Glory Chapel in Government house for a thanksgiving service.
The guest minister, Zilly Aggrey and the Governor attributed the supreme court victory to God’s divine intervention.
Diri also called for a united front irrespective of political divide to move the State forward.
The Supreme Court had on Tuesday dismissed the case filed by a former Governorship aspirant Ndutimi Alaibe, challenging the emergence of Senator Diri as the standard bearer at the PDP primaries of the 2019 November Governorship election in Bayelsa State.
