Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri has called on all Ijaws to have a common front so as to attract development to the Niger Delta Region.
Governor Diri made the call when he played host to the New National President of the Ijaw Youth Congress in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state.
Speaking further, the Bayelsa State Chief Executive,expressed dissatisfaction over what he described as politicization of the Ijaw youth body.
He promised to host a National Ijaw leadership summit to chat the way forward for the fourth largest ethnic nationality in the country

Newly elected National President of the Ijaw Youth Congress, IYC, Peter Igbifa and his executive committee were in government house on a courtesy visit to familiarize with Governor Douye Diri.
Igbifa ,who is the 8th National President of the IYC expressed disappointment at the underdevelopment plaguing the Niger Delta region.
The election which took place last weekend in Oporoza, Delta State, was adjudged to be the fairest.
